Why samsung does not provide symbian? Symbian is a tech developed by manufactures like nokia, ericsson etc. n thats why i think samsung, motorola etc cant use it

Symbian is an operating system. Samsung has its own OS, changing OS changes da way of operation of fone. Also lot of legal issues involved plus inherent Symbian probs lyk viruses 4 symbian n other security probs. Operatin system is just one application of symbian...it has heaps of applications most popular bein the web browser opera, games, mp3 players etc so symbian can increase the functionality of your phone. There are no viruses for symbian...only one virus for mobiles has been developed n it affects windows mobile. Samsung phones seriously lack in expandin functionality as they dont have sym or win * +

Symbian apps like Opera browser is System Software which is integrated into da OS, da sys soft n OS is hardware dependent thus making it inscalable. As 4 security der was claims dat Symbian is crackable, although i havnt tried, from a Software Developers point of view der more advanced it gets der easier it is 2 crack or hack * +

Samsung is not concerned about making there phones more functionable.All they concerned of is to improve color screens,cameras,polys and memory space and thats why my next phone in Feb .wont be Samsung this time but Sony Ericsson or Nokia

Opera is not integrated in the os...on phones like 6600 it comes free on the mmc while on px x x series they provide it on the disk n it has to be installed. As for the stability part symbian is much more stable than the phones with normal operatin softwares...it doesnt have so many bugs or crash so often. Samsung should at least go for windows mobile * +

I agree dat Samsung nd more functionality bcos dey hav gud luks, disp,cam, n sound. As 4 OS n Symbian n Opera its too long n technical 4 me 2 explain, i gotta go now im writing a test in a few hours on Visual C++, wish me luck * +

Wats to explain...this is a fact, samsung cant provide symbian unless nokia/ericsson etc let them but i dont get why they dont provide windows for them. Best of luck for ya test mate! * +
