How do you know there is only one god? It's all hearsay

Biblical history, in the first few centuries, how it spread, Converting even the Emperors of Rome itself.. whole civilisations turning away from many other gods. 'False gods' without the sword.. Through persecution and intolerance..

We've just become really naughty.. Technology.. exchange of ideas.. Thoughts.. Materialism * +

Seen Jerusalem, the sea of Galilee and surrounds.. Herod's Amphitheatre/colliseum in Caesarea..
Been to Bethlehem.. Nazerath.. went up the Mount of Temptation in Jericho.. seen the Qumran caves near the Dead Sea

Seen the view from Mount Nebo in Jordan where Moses was said to see the 'Promised Land' upon entering * +

Believing in God is not merely a heart feeling, but also a mind and logical conclusion/reasoning.
However, it is not a mathematical or physical equation like in school books.
It comes from everything in this universe, all amazing signs that speak to our mind and heart hearts.gif

If you find a pen on a table, you will never assume it put itself there. Either someone or even the wind brought it there.
One aspect to look at is the links between reasons and results.
The second is in the awesomeness in every tiny detail in this universe, from atoms to cosmos, and how far/impossible such creation has no Creator.
Third, even if matter existed somehow, two more significant forces cannot exist without a Designer/Creator
(1) Energy and laws of driving forces (gravity, etc.)
(2) Soul and Life. * +

Existence of multiple Gods is impossible logically. If a God exist, then must be one and only one.
The question whether or not there is a one and only God of this universe, is way more understandable to be discussed/debated. * +

So we come to the conclusion that another being made life? Who made God then? Was she/he/it a in an infinite line of 'gods'? That's just weak 2000 year ago figuring out, man. We're better than that now

In brief, None has created God as He was always there.
To understand this we need closely ponder in
(1) Definition of time. Well, there is actually not physical substance called time. Time is simply how our senses monitor changes in this world. It is a big mistake to think that because time lapse, we get older or trees grow. Actually, all changes happen in the world and we just use time (ticks) to be able to monitor those changes in constant ticks as possible (atomic clock is most accurate one). Man has used time by comparing to moon/earth rotations, and it is not cos of time moon and earth are rotating or moving.
Hence, as the God was and always will be the God, and time changes does not apply to him (as He created those laws), God is not bounded by time (nor place).
(2) Creation of God by another God is impossible, because you simply flip the God into a creation, which is again against the concept of God. God is not created, and creations are not Gods, nor even like Him in attributes.
(3) Imagination of infinite chain of Gods will definitely mean this universe not to exist, because that chain will continue forever, eh? But as we see the universe, we see each others, we know the universe is there and existing. Thus, that chain has no meaning and One God has created the creations.

We are not necessarily better than people 2000 years ago (in terms of brain works). Brain/min depends on available tools and observations to discover new stuff. simply, we need to look it more from efficiency perspective rather than proficiency.
For example, assume those last 2000 years were deleted from humanity history, will we (yes we who live nowadays) be more productive or clear more than those people in the past? (for sure, assuming we only have knowledge/tools that existed then). * +

Not anything that has been said makes any sense to me. Maybe there are an infinite amount of gods in an infinite amount of universes dunno.gif no proof. Old books are not proof * +
