Look at that english couple a few years ago who were taken by pirates, a ransom was set for them so their family and friends raised the money by selling properties etc., this couple were finally released but are now talking about doing the same journey again, how unfair is that to the people who saved them from death, its like spitting in their eye sad * +

Every country already pays or will pay. Just depends on who the hostage is. Negotiations with 'terrorists' happen all the time, but of course they have to say the opposite in public.

In terms of SA foreign policy he does mean nothing. That's the unfortunate harsh reality. If he was better connected politically he would have been home a long time ago. It's not right but the reality of the situation. * +
