It's hardly logical to be either atheist or religious, yet many are. We live in a universe of mostly dark matter and energy, comprised of atoms where particles lead to more particles, in a universe possibly born from the fusion or fission of other universes floating around like bubbles in darkness. That's some crazy shit, but it's science. To think the universe just bleh, exists in all its complexity, is a theory marred by hubris. To think the entire gargantuan and seemingly eternal thing plods on without even getting a kick out of it is bananas. * +

The fortunate thing is we have the leg room to think how we like about the universe, people can always be corrected on small time befuddlement like the etymology of this verse or that, or evolution or whichever snare's employed to trip eachother up. The big stuff boils down to prickles and goo, as Watts said. I'm goo and you're prickles, except there is no goo and prickles, just gooey prickles and prickly goo. * +
