In a way it is worse, black South Africans had hope that apartheid will end and that hope was realistic, as for the untouchables they actually believe they are the underclass not to mention education and economic success isn't likely to reach them

Until 1990 there was no hope, it's easy to look back now because things worked out. Even between 1990 and 1994 we were at the edge of the abyss at times. That isn't to say people in India aren't genuinely suffering. It would be better if they had the same kind of coverage that apartheid had. * +
