The ''i know'' is just language,a use of words to convey an idea, a thought. Using those words is a way of communicating thats all. Using a word doesnt mean what that word is trying to convey exists independently.

So a computer program capable of holding conversation with you can properly use the word 'I'with any real meaning? I'm seeing a problem with your definition of' 'i''. * +

My thoughts could get me in trouble which is why I don't listen to them. When I'm down I distract myself just to get rid of the negative thoughts and their effects on me,bringing me down even more. All this would be impossible if there was no observer, no '' I'' behind. That's what I mean.
