What is so enlightened about our modern times.....? thinking.gif So u saying that the Holy ghost doesn't have sex, hmm? U know what the word BEGOTTEN means? For two thousand years Christians have been using that word for Jesus (pbuh), like their life depends on it . Look it up and let me know what it means. All of a sudden that word is now thrown out of the Bible as a FABRICATION! Faint.gif

Are you serious? You do know we have abolished slavery, women are equal to men in most countries, homosexuals dont get killed brutally, we have human rights for the most part unless its a society held back by books like the quran then you dont get any of these basic rights. Begotten means got something . Mary got a child without intercourse hence it being a miracle that was prophesied. I dont know any christians who would believe that the spirit of God had sex with Mary. That is some fked up kind of logic man facepalm.gif No wonder you believe in that contradicting mess and the worst prophet that ever walked this earth. * +

Let's be serious though. Somebody boned Mary because immaculate conception is impossible because there is no magic on this planet. Filthy fkers * +

Not arguing if it happened or not. Rather what is written and what ppl believe it to be. Concept of a miracle itself means it is something impossible that is not seen in the natural world. It was never said to be a magic trick rather something out of the ordinary what ppl believed only the creator of the universe can perform. There were plenty of witches around according to the ppl around back then with magical capabilities but was considered evil and not allowed. If an anomaly a once in a million thing happens it is seen as a miracle not magic. That was the reason the ppl back then asked for a sign from a prophet to prove that the creator was behind them. * +

Many Christian African countries still hate homosexuality though. As for abolishing slavery the Christian church was actually against the abolishment of it and was paid millions of pounds of financial compensation for freeing it's slaves. The Christians who did fight long and hard against slavery were small in number and did so against the wishes of the Christian hierarchy.Quakers deserve more credit, always fought against it * +

Quran 65:1 O Prophet! 761;Instruct the believers:762; When you 761;intend to762; divorce women, then divorce them with concern for their waiting period,1 and count it accurately. And fear Allah, your Lord. Do not force them out of their homes, nor should they leaveunless they commit a blatant misconduct. These are the limits set by Allah. And whoever transgresses Allahs limits has truly wronged his own soul. You never know, perhaps Allah will bring about a change 761;of heart762; later.2

Quran (65:4) The waiting period of those of your women who have lost all expectation of menstruation shall be three months in case you entertain any doubt; and the same shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated. As for pregnant women, their waiting period shall be until the delivery of their burden.

Anti-Muslim writers point to a verse of the Quran to argue that Islam not only encourages child marriage, but also allows sex between adults and children. Even some wayward Muslims, eager to reject Western social customs altogether, shamelessly advocate for child marriages despite compelling evidence that it harms children in the modern context.

Upon examination, we find that both of them, as is their peculiar habit, read into the verse what it does not say.

This verse refers to the waiting period until remarriage (iddah) for divorced women.

A woman might not menstruate for several reasons, because she is too old to menstruate or has aphysical disorderthat prevents or delays ordinary menstrual cycles. As such, the verse covers all of these cases in a general sense
