They experimented with this one drug and it also brings about an out of body/NDE. Your brain does that at point of death. Something to do with neurons or something. Many find it comforting. When they come back to life after almost dying they can recall what happened to them. It's weird that a drug can do just the same.

People on this drug also experience a tunnel towards a light source so many who almost died had experienced. Will look it up. * +

I think people let their ideals get in the way of the reality of the subject.

Good and bad is relative to the situation in this life.
Our emotions and thoughts steer us for practical reasons, based on our survival for as much as it's needed, both in regard to ourselves and those around us.

I've seen no evidence that suggests anything in our life is relevant to post-death. *
