your analogy is flawedas it would mean than any mammal will or do have the capability of flying. The hadith refers to an animal called a Buraq...and relates to mi'raj.. there is various schools of thought whether this was a vision or if it was done physically... the consensus is that all Muslims believe in the mi'raj...

The problem with the atheists is that they directly think how can a horse fly , so to make it clear to them , we have this example from among mammals , that they can also fly , although Burraq is a heavenly being , and we know only what we learnt about Burraq in ahadithes , like its speed is as of light , where its sight reach , its next step is there . atheists call it horse because in hadith's it is said that Burraq is smaller than horse and bigger than mule * +
