The Bible shows that followers of Christ,must keep their worship of God free from mixing it with paganism,including copying their festivals - 1 Corinthians 10:20-22. The Israelites did it with the golden calf when waiting for Moses to come down from the mountain. Paul warns Christians,using it as an example in 1 Corinthians 10:7. See Exodus 32:6. They ''sat down to eat and drink then they got up to have a good time.'' It's the reason something is done that matters to God and Christ. * +
