Mok's ancestors lived side-by-side with sabretooth cats, mastodons and giant sloths!
But no mention of woolly rhinoceroses there. Chin.gif
However, the very first horse ancestor originated out from N. America.
They eventually became extinct but with the reintroduction from Eurasian species they began to thrive once more.
Mustang feral populations for example. * +

There's currently only two bison species in existence:
The American bison and the European bison (mostly confined to the protected forest preserve between Poland and Belarus).

The North American species is composed of two subspecies, the Plains bison, B. b. bison, and the wood bison, B. b. athabascae.
The European bison, B. bonasus, or wisent, is found in Europe and the Caucasus, reintroduced after being extinct in the wild.

The European species is very inbred as a result of the senseless hunting by N.azi soldiers in the area during WWII.
Afterwards many extant populations from zoos, et cetera were relocated to that region to help boost the population there as well as the gene pool.
They have bounced back! * +

*European lowland bison almost hunted to extinction in Bialowieza Forest, currently on the border between Poland and Belarus, during WWI by occupying German Soldiers.
All but 9 had survived.

These chin.gif majestic animals need protecting. They coexisted with many extinct creatures from the prehistoric era. * +
