Africa's tectonic plate/s are pretty stable (though the rift valley is slowly making the land to the east to drift away)

We, SA, have a volcano though (within the territory of the Prince Edward Islands- part of the Mid-oceanic Ridge), that's where you'll find earthquakes. * +

If you've ever seen a map of the Caribbean, you'll notice a crescent-shaped chain of islands. That's to do with plate tectonics which allowed lava to flow upwards, creating such features.
The Pacific Ring of Fire is also related but is on a much grander scale. * +
