So Russia is allied with Iran. Iran sells military drones and missiles to Russia and are intrinsically connected with Hezbollah and Hamas but now Russia is being attacked by ISIS(apparently ISIS-K, their Afghan branch) for supporting Israel's enemies. So, with ISIS now going to bat for the Israeli side, then surely that means that Israel is now allied with ISIS?

Yeah I get that, I was being facetious. The ISIS statement said it was for Russia's support for Israel's enemies but ISIS are sworn enemies of Israel themselves. Evidently they're not big on the old ''The enemy of my enemy is my friend'' thing * +

No the CIA was continuing to do what they'd been doing all the way back to the 1950s and 60s, with various other such groups in Iran(during the Islamic Revolution), Pakistan/Afghanistan(the Mujahideen, Afghan/Russian war) , Iran again(Iran Contra affair), Libya, Iraq, Libya again and so on and so forth right upto the present day, pretty much regardless of whichever president happened to be sat in the WH at the time. Like the deep state, as you might say(and you'd actually be correct for once in this case). * +
