It's pointless anyone quoting their regional figures and statistics for comparative purposes, unless they are all quoting figures that are based on the same testing and counting criteria, which seem to vary wildly from country to country and region to region*.
Official UK death figures only include people dying in hospitals, they don't include death's at home or in care homes, whilst some other places do include them, for example.

We do have a world body for this but their credibility is shot after they've been found to be lapdogs for a brutal, lying communist dictatorship. * +

Testing is wildly out, but hospital deaths are probably not too far wrong. Hospitals are used to people dying there, so if they put covid on the death certificate it's gonna be a pretty good ball-park figure.

My local hospital released their latest count at 82 deaths on Thursday. That was up four on 78 just a few days before, but no new figure yet is promising. * +
