The witness tampering charge carries a maximum penalty of upto 20 years in prison, the other counts upto 5 years each.

Mr Trump's lawyer's lawyer quickly interjected on behalf of his client to say '' he's joking!'' but Rudy's remark is being interpreted by some as being a not so thinly veiled warning/threat aimed at the president. * +
