my mum would give us hidings sometimes. not a lot but still, she was always the one I went to for everything.

my dad tab me one hiding and I have never forgiven him for that.

it was about 23 odd years ago, if not more, and he's been dead for 3 years. still haven't forgiven him. * +

Used to get the odd smack. Don't agree with it at all.
I remember when my mum would say wait until your dad gets home laddie. .the fear I suffered between her saying that and him actually arriving home was worse than the smacking. Still,I see it as weak parenting if you have to hit your child. * +
