CPAP machines can take a bit of getting used too and aren't the most comfortable of devices. But, people do generally learn to live with them. You'll probably notice the benefits after several nights use. Better quality of sleep, feel more refreshed. Potential future health risks will reduce. Like other posters have mentioned reducing weight and smoking help. But, some people have a narrowing in the esophagus which can cause the problem. Persevere and good luck, definitely worth using . . * +
