Maybe the wiring at the power point is dodgy (fan explained?)

The third fan we got is still working, but it's winter now. My laptop is at the same power point, no issues with that though. * +

I have no idea, neither does kiddo, and hubby doesn't know either... A few weeks ago hubby did buy a small can of hot chocolate, but the little madam drank it all within 2 days. We didn't buy anymore after that.
