Normally would be asked Mother's maiden name, your NI number, or they would ask for a utility / council tax bill, or a letter from the inland revenue, any of those with your name and address on it, thats what i do when asked for id. Show them birth certificate, ni number, council tax bill, and my bus pass, and i say here, sort that lot out.. Or best of all take a mirror, when asked, look into it, and say Yes! That is me alright, an handsome bug*er aren't i. * +

apart from the 1st in the list I'd be alarmed if an employer had the means to easily check out these things. if an employer could so could pretty much anyone surely. * +
