So the English language is a partialised Creole language and sentences can be more Romance or more Germanic depending in the way and manner you speak. More intellectual conversations tend to be more Romance and everyday casual speech is more Germanic.

So Proto-Indo-European had two possible regions of origin: 1. either between Ukraine and the Caucasus or 2. From Anatolia (Turkey/ Asia Minor).
Then spread to western Europe [(Italic/Celtic) (similar origins) / Germanic] and to the Baltic, Eastern Europe and the Balkans (Balto-Slavic) and then there's Greek, Albanian and Armenian (isolates, belong to it's own subfamily). Then there's Indo-Iranian which spread down through Iran (Persia) ''Farsi'' into India ''Sanskrit''. * +
