Talking of trade deals ...the Conservative manifesto clearly promised any trade talks would uphold environmental issues , animal welfare and food standards .... 6/7 months later that's dumped and chlorinated chicken , hormonally enhanced beef and pork are on their way from America (along with giving disaster capitalists a foot in the door )

These are not the only ignominious honours the UK has earned. Voter approval in the government has fallen to the joint-lowest level of any country (alongside Mexico), having plummeted from a peak of 72 per cent on 27 March to 41 per cent. * +
