Bizarrely a female liger is fertile and a male liger always sterile ! So if she mated with a lion the offspring would be a li - liger or with a tiger a ti- liger .
Same as the tigon .
Its sad they are born from and in captivity. Orthogenetic evolution and progressionism gone mad ! *
