No offence to you but don't most of those only do research and not production/development? I'm getting at the legislation protection, some pharmas do cut corners or behave unethical without legal oversight whereas statutorily governed entities are restricted in their screw up capacity..

what I'm talking about is company A says we have a vaccine, then all these other bodies say publish a paper on it, let us look at your findings.

basically outside parties with no vested interest in it's commercial success or failure saying, yeah this is a solid, safe treatment.

there aren't many if any government owned research medical labs and it's the private sector that's taking the lead whether we like it or not. * +
