16.5 billion pound increase in defence spending to be announced. It seems as a country, we believe feeding hungry children is wrong but bombing children is OK. * +

But that money will help to provide/sustain thousands of jobs in areas many of which are deprived anyway. If those workers don't have those jobs maybe their kids would be in poverty themselves * +

Just in time to pay troops that may be needed on the streets when the reality of Bwexit kicks in. Don't forget the disaster that Bwexit is will be blamed on covid. (Even though both are financially disastrous). * +

Anyone that thinks a UK gunboat is full of guns is a complete numpty and does not belong in office. It has one rifle and needs a couple of teams of sailors to bring ammunition from storage to the loading chamber.
And this is not top secret information, you can find the videos on YouTube. * +

Those 'gunboats'(a somewhat unofficial and rather colloquial term) are in fact the Royal Navy's River Class minehunter/offshore patrol boats, like the one pictured above and detailed further below.

But they never go around with a clip loaded in that rifle. And mines are not setting by a hatch waiting to be deployed either. If you have never been on an armed naval vessel, you ain't no expert. Lol.gif * +
