Another tory mp defects to Labour. Natalie Elphicke, a true blue hardliner said the Tories 'have become a byword for incompetence and division' and accused Rishi Sunak of 'broken promises' and scrapping key pledges.

The MP for Dover stressed the key factors for her decision were 'housing' and 'border security'.

Not that anyone needed any more proof that Labour have moved so far to the right that they lie firmly to the right of centre in traditional tory territory. Whilst the tories have lurched further down the extreme right authoritarian route.

You really think today's tories are extreme right and authoritarian? Please let's be sensible

one person i sometimes bump into whilst walking the dogs is a rabid Tory and hates anyone on benefits.
'They get handed out too easily he says' he then told me he has advised his nephew to lie on a benefits claim form in order to get what he needs.
