Thoughts on the plans announced yesterday by the big English, Spanish and Italian football teams that they want to form a breakaway European Super League? And the response from the FA, UEFA, the Premier League and many others, including threatening to expel those clubs from their respective domestic competions and even ban the club's players from representing their national teams?

The 12 teams who plan to join the new league are: AC Milan, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lol. Rumour is he was sacked because he disagrees with the club's decision to join the planned Super League and was planning on refusing to take the players out onto the training pitch in protest. * +

Tottenham haven't won anything in years, have never won the Premier League and the last time they won the old Division 1 league title was in 1961, so they certainly haven't earned their place on merit. * +

Good for them. Why be handcuffed by the FIFA and UEFA cartels. If the domestic leagues ban them they should say good riddance to them and expand the ESL to a full league format. What is the PL going to do, kick City and United out? As if anyone cares about watching Everton vs Fulham every weekend. * +
