Ive heard a similar stat about the UK, even someone on benefits here is still in the top 10 percent earners worldwide, which is quite believable when you see what real poverty is like in other countries.

I'm well aware of the global implications of poverty and financial inequality thankyou very much, I simply don't think the current and probable future variations of what constitutes 'the establishment' in our so called civilised western societies are in any way capable or in any way willing to do anything meaningful about it. The whole global system is fucked because it demands that the rich nations exploit and sh*t all over the poor nations to maintain their bloated greed for ever increasing profit margins.

If you want to play geopolitics as a zero sum game, we will all end up losing in the end, nobody 'wins' the critical final game. * +

I went out last Thursday, was a homeless girl sat outside the pub, i was outside having a vape and she asked what flavour it was, told her and let her have a taste of it, chatting to her for a bit and she was telling me about her life, she had moved up to Scotland to live with her boyfriend and it didnt work out and now shes back down here and cant get a house, I asked her where she sleeps and she told me her and her friend can get a room at the local travel lodge some nights if its empty for 20pounds and by helping to sort the coffees and sugars that go in the rooms, i gave her some money, later on that night when i had another vape her friend was there and was chatting to her as well, her friend had been to uni etc and also ran into bad luck and now cant get a home, they was both ok and in high spirits really. Just shows u that anyone can end up homeless and u dont know whats around the corner. * +

Based on history Dan. Things aren't going to change if we keep putting lunatics in charge of the asylum. * +
