Yeah that may still be true..it may have changed. I have a friend who was sacked and he was told he won't get any benefits for initially three months. Whilst he had no money ..his review was ongoing..he ended up working illegally to get by. * +

You could have gone out and robbed a bank or something, blamed it on the government and got a reduced sentence or community service if you got caught.
Not that it's easy to rob a bank.
