Think it was taking that chance mate. Every treatment starts off as experimental and not saying if it will be a success or not but this could have been the test to see.because no doubt this is going to happen again. Imagine been the parents and this experimental treatment did actually help someone else or just prolonged life in a few years down the line

But as doctors you also have responsibility towards your patient. If you feel your patient is suffering a lot then you certainly should not let them have any treatment what you feel may not help them * +
