Trump has said that Farage would make a good British ambassador to the U.S. Does an ambassador really have much of a role and influence, or is it just about hosting balls at the embassy and passing round the Fererro Roche. On the positive side he wouldn't be in the UK much. * +

an ambassador is a go-between between governments and a diplomat. someone as disliked in parliament as Farage wouldn't be much use. * +
