Yeah, the plane was known to be faulty and they still let it be flown, someone on the plane earlier that day on a previous flight reported serious problems. The pilot woulda known this. Russia has a terrible attitude to aircraft safety. * +

Another one of these down, then. 737-800 series.

I don't know much about this yet. 132 people on board. No chance of survival.

It's believed the plane went into a near vertical dive at almost 30,000ft above the city of Wuzhou, descending at 350mph. The pilots had managed to get it to pull up by the time it was down to just 7,500ft, but it dived again, crashing into a mountain side around two miles next to the city.

It'd travelled most of it's journey, headed for the industrial province of Guangzhou.

It comes after a difficult time for the aviation industry, but a much needed scandal-break for Boeing. China were set to recommission the use of their grounded 737-Max models, but this now looks unlikely. Boeing shares, unsurprisingly, have also nose-dived. * +
