I bought two CD albums off two different stores on amazon. They were both sealed in cellophane and they both happen to be released by the same record label but they both look like they have been burnt on CDR discs. They both have glossy labels on them that look right. Is it a coincidence I could of got two dodgey copies at once or are these completely normal? * +

was it a small indie label ? quite possible that someone runs a record label from their bedroom... * +

Not an indie label. It's ''Talkin Loud/Mercury records'' so quite a big label, anyway I've done some research and I'm pretty certain these are fake and not genuine. They don't have the catalogue number on the centre of the disk just the number 80 and a CDR batch code. * +

I suppose it was only a matter of time before I ended up with a couple of fakes. I've bought over 150 genuine perfect CD's in the past two months. * +

Sounds dodgy for a label like that.

As Mel alluded to, CDRs are released by small indie labels in limited numbers. * +
