I have a portable wifi router that uses a sim card. When I connect my Iphone 6 to the wifi I noticed that the data usage is too much although I haven't even launched any apps. I am using ios 9.2.1. How can I fix this? *

Turn off background app refresh in settings location services for all apps that you feel don't require it, you'll be surprised how many have it on by default, not only does it save on data but your battery life will improve too *
