The rain basically renders the game unplayable. Rains even under bridges, faulty Z buffer (whatever that is) wherever you see towards the sea, it looks out of place... Countless spelling errors. Invisible bridge in GTA: SA, weird body proportions in GTA: SA, Denise looks like a Sim character, the barber completely different, game crashes in one San Fierro side mission, some lost the ability to save, major crashes, no fog effect when up in the air inside your aircraft (the entire map open to you to see.. makes it look tiny in comparison to original).. things like those..
GTA: SA is the worst!
GTA: VC is probably the best out of the lot.
The Unreal 4 Engine is best suited to neon city.
GTA III is also pretty charming compared to the gloomy original lol..
But there's floating cars, and a place in the north end of Portland where you sink into oblivion when driving to that spot. * +

Due to Unreal Engine all three games have adopted pretty generic physics/lighting/textures that come with the territory. * +
