There is a big surge in retro pc builds at the moment . Some old Sokol components are fetching a lot of money ,especially workstation cards from the early 1990s . I recently sold a graphics card from a IBM workstation from 1991 for 115 pounds on eBay . * +

Thats cool..although the 770 isnt nowhere near as old it still paid for half the cost of my 1080ti..
i still got my old pc from mid 90s in my attic, i forget what the hell is in it though... maybe i should have a look and see about parting it out. * +

I have been elbows deep in older parts for a few years now my attic is full of pc hardware soon I love building computers and i cant build a new one every other week for myself so i play around with used hardware. I built family and friends rigs to play with and sold some off still stuff piles up. My friend works in a scrapyard pulling out stuff i get dirt cheap from him also. Got a 512gb nvme ssd from him that he pulled out of a broken laptop. I keep telling him to bring me 1080ti_s and stuff next Im thinking of putting together a retro rig soon. I have some old pentium mmx cpus and stuff laying around along with ram etc. Problem is there is no decent retro case around all beaten up etc. * +

I paid like 50 euros for a used 770 you must have sold it fairly expensive. I got my 1080ti for 550euros few months used under warranty. Just could not pay 800euros for a new rtx 2080. I ended up saving money and getting fairly similar performance. The aorus gtx 1080ti is a beast also runs chill and benchmarks like a beast. * +
