I agree with everything spartan 2 and newt182 said. What im trying to get at though, is that theres nothing to stop publishers from eventually setting silly prices as have sony/microsoft in their respective online stores. * +

Not sure I get what you're saying. If games go digital-only they will still need to sell the games to make profit. They wont sell them by pricing them at 100 pounds each. Competition might be a problem, as MS and Sony could limit only their official stores to sell copies, I guess it would depend on the deal with the publisher. The publishers have set the prices for their games on Live and PSN, but they have been told by retail what they should sell at. * +
