I thought Abrams was going to use the tired formula he's milked on Star Trek, lens flare and nostalgia to pander to the fans. While there's some of that in Awakens, I enjoyed it enough to look forward to the next episode. * +

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. the guys at red light media tore it to shreds in their review which I watched half of before going to see it.
I wasn't expecting much so was pleasantly surprised even though the main criticisms were valid.
