Well, the books are going to be made into a series of films. The rights went back to King after Bad Robot had no clue how to adapt it to film. Ron Howard set to direct.

i hope it is better than previous attempts to bring kings books to the screen ,which have been mediocre for the most part with a rare exception * +

Usually when there are movie adaptions of beloved books I get a little vexed. But after I finished DT it kind of broke the spell. So I hope it's good. *
