big deal if honda has vtec... just about every japanese manufacturer now has variable valve timing technology in their cars, so that means any advantage honda once had in that area is now redundant. id go for toyota every time without hesitation * +

In general i tend to agree wit gtr mostly. Tho its still a very difficult choice.. Personally id choose d corolla from d two (if my heart wud allow my brain to think clearly lol!) the reason i say so is purely for d folowin 3 reasons: 1. Toyotas reputation for reliability and backup service. 2. Toyotas exelent trade in value! And3. Toyotas maintanance cost(fuel bills nd services). * +

@tim n ruff. we talkin 96 models. i think th newer hondas running costs r lower but build quality is not as gud. am also not impressed wid new corolla. i prefer astra or focus. * +

toyota has had vvti back then im pretty sure! personally, im driving a fwd courtesy car while the soarer is in getting a ding taken out... and me, after driving rwds for the past 2 cars, i cant understand how anyone could crave an fwd car... they are ing horrible to drive * +
