I've lost last years mot certificate but ive got the receipt for 10th oct, so the question is does that mean i can go for a mot between 10sept and 10th oct? * +

10th Oct is when it runs out and is when u have to renew. * +

if u r in uk than u can have mot test done 30days before mot expires. And u dont loose any days. * +

yes m8, can renew mot in the month before expiry date-don't worry if you lost last years, any mot station will have the date on their system, for a tenner you can even get a reprinted certificate. All they need is your cars registration doc * +
