Hey all. My jetta mk2 have a starting problem. Starter is allready done over. When I start the car first time in the morning it starts but ten minutes after I switched it off it don't want to start but if I let it stand for more than 1 hour it starts. What can the problem be? * +

Oh, one issue could be that the float in the float bowl of the carburetor is stuck. That leads me to wonder if your carburetor needs to be rebuilt. * +

Had a new carburettor fitted but problem still there. This is an intresting one and I jst have to figure this out. Any help and advise will be appreciated * +

Sounds like a typical VW hot start issue. They all suffered it. Google it, I haven't worked on many bit before my time but I have heard of all sorts of mods to combat it * +
