Rite, i have an escort gti.. Dont realy like it, it just gets me to work and back.. Its ment to have 113bhp and top speed of 115mph.. So how the did i do just ova 135mph in it today?? It was guna go off the clock at 140 but had to back off coz the 2lt focus i was folowing cudnt go any faster! It was a flat road, no down hill! My rs1800 had 130bhp and did 130mph max and flat road.. I dont get it! * +

2.0l focus does 205kph flat clockspeed. I guess ur speedo calibration must b out 10 - 15perc. 140mph is 224 wich wud see a truespeed of 195kph. That sounds realistic. Mebe ur speedo pickup was repl 1 time wit a smaller geared unit. * +

Old ford speedo's aint known 4 their accuracy over the 100 mph mark... Get side by side with a m8 with a modern car and compare notes ! * +

A massive diff can occur in speedo calibration if d speedodrive had been changed from a 16teeth to a 15teeth! * +
