looking at caterhams again all the ones i can afford are 1.6 8v ford engines , what engine will that be then ? what power has it ? would it be easy to tune up some more ? some others are 1.8 rover k seires engines , whats diffrence ? * +

my ford shortKA is 1.6 8v .... will that be the same engine , think its a duretec ? not impressed with it put mit be fun with less ma55 to pull , not that a ka is heavy ! * +

A ka's under a 1000kg anyway isn't it? My wifes got a 1.3 one, horrible little thing 
that 1.6 could be a zetec i suppose? I've got a 1.8 zetec focus at the moment. Its not quick but its not dog slow either and the focus is fairly heavy. Do they not offer a 1.8 ford option? * +

iv seen ztec caterhams but there a fortune , think there all 16v to . ford ka is soooo bad , rust bucket to . going to get rid , get our la55 through her test and mite get her a fiat 500 and me a caterham for the weekend. * +

Wat bout Rocam bob? U dnt get d rocam motor ova ther? The only 3 1.6 8v ford motors i know of is d rocam, cvh nd d kent motor. Cud b either 1 of em. * +

Hulle 1.6 sportka het presies dieselfde motors as di 1.6 bantam en 1.6 fiesta rsi, met ander woorde rocam maar hulle ken dit as iets anders * +

Wel in dai geval kan hy mos di caterham mt di rocam motor vat ffs! Tuning posibilities is endless.. Dnt stare urself blind to d fact dat its 8v bob! * +
