Exactly! Best to avoid 2020 Samsungs in that case and get something from the 2021 range then. That exynos 990 has had a lot of people frustrated. The Exynos 1000 thats coming in the 2021 range is rumored to be possibly be more powerful than the snapdragon 875 and Apple a14 * +

I wouldn't get an Exynos phone full stop. I've noticed on the S4 forums @xda, development for the Exynos phone was basically roms based on touchwiz with features from newer phones baked in, it didn't go past lollipop either iirc.

the snapdragon versions had roms from every group going as well as GPE roms and still has the latest android releases being developed for it.

I won't claim to understand it, it's something to do with hardware drivers or getting the source code for them. Exynos chips make development almost impossible.

I like the idea that if I spend hundreds of pounds on a device that it can last me 5 or 6 years, I don't have money to buy new stuff every year. * +

The fan edition of the S20 5G version announced today has a snapdragon 865! and that's for Europe too but only the 5g version the 4G version still has the Exynos 990 * +

It doesn't have a Quad HD display or 100 megapixel camera and ram is 6GB but as far as I am concerned that's ample. 8GB plus is arguably overkill anyway unless your gaming which iam not. Iam totally sold on it 3mel just because it has the snapdragon 865 and it will be available in october 700 quid sim free * +
