drawing 60fps is the most intensive thing games do, if your phone has less screen to cover it can work faster. ppsspp works for multiple handsets with all kinds of screens so there's no reason for it not to work

I'll try it out myself in a couple of days

I profoundly recommend that don't even consider using the app that I've given a link to above unless you take a full nandroid backup before installing it.
there are some roms it is not compatible with to put it mildly. I'm lucky I'm not reflashing my rom rather than typing this... *
