No idea how they got it to be so silky smooth, but this is indeed the best update ever released to the Note 4....heck I'd say one of the best any phone I have owned has received. The 5.1.1 update was good, it fixed a lot of things I hated in 5.0.1, but 6.0.1 has gone that extra bit and made the phone feel brand new. * +

I felt the same on my humble unofficial s4 custom AOSP rom. anyone who is rooted should go get a custom recovery and backup their current rom and go try marshmallow themselves. * +

The only problem Ive had so far is a bit of trouble with touchscreen sensitivety e.g. taking a few presses to register but I can live with that * +
