the only trustworthy model number you should go with is whatever the phone says after entering download mode.
everything else can be spoofed.
seriously though a locked boot loader will be the bane of your existence at every turn... so keep that box in good shape too.
also look up SAMSUNG KNOX, if you try to do anything to the phone other than ODIN flash you'll trip the Knox Counter and lower the value of the phone. that's totally irreversible. if you try to flash stock firmware over that boot loader it will most likely fail / refuse. * +

Oh forgot to mention back then Samsung smartswitch did recognise the phone as a Galaxy Note 5 another good sign but I will try the download option you mentioned. I dont have so much time these days to mess around with phones hence the delay with trying things with the phone. * +

just reboot the phone while holding down the volume down and power buttons. that's all that's needed to enter download mode. * +
