im having a serious problem with notifications only going off when i open the app.as soon as i quit the app im not getting any messages. i made sure that whatsapp have unrestricted background data, my auto sync is on,i dont have any task killers installed, i even tried to put the whatsapp widget on my homescreen thinkin mybe it will run in the background, reset cache, unistall install,even tweaks battery settings for whatsapp but nothing is helping.when i check my background processes i can see my whatsapp will only run for few minutes after that its gone.im on Android 7.0. is this an Android bug or is there a way around this problem.i need help * +

did you set WhatsApp to ''not being optimised'' ?
are you rooted ?
WhatsApp relies on something GMS to receive messages, that can be interfered with by things like greenify if you're rooted and dozing system apps. * +

yeap my whatsapp is set on not optimised together with play services.am not rooted i dont have any task killers installed * +
