activate developer options and change the screed density value, should lower more info on screen higher for less. don't do more than a 100 point change either way to avoid usability issues.
if the screen does change DPI successfully reboot and see it reverts back or not.

it's something with honor phones which Huawei make, basically they're now very modder unfriendly and even stock android settings that affect the system apparently don't persist. * +

I set it to 450, rebooted and it went straight back to the standard 423, lol. Yep.

They are also quite strict with theur Bootloader. Luckily I no longer do modding or this would frustrate me * +

Don't blame you. I am quite happy with EMUI9, it's very customizable, much like Samsung UI, but just like Samsung UI it's not for everyone.

One thing I would love to see is what modders could do with these Huawei Kirin chips, I think if Huawei were to open up to 3rd party developers, A LOT could be done with that Dual-Core NPU unit in this Kirin980, it's incredibly fast at scene and object recognition in the Camera, devs could harness its power for a lot more things. * +
