Looking for a cheap smartphone with large display for work. Narrowed it down to three: Alcatel A3 XL, Alcatel V3 or Motorola E5 Plus. The only thing that puts me off the two newer devices is the 18.9 ratio display. I prefer 16.9 which the A3 XL has but nobody can deny the Motorola is the best handset out of the three spec wise especially with its octa core chip and 5000mah battery. Both Alcatels use the mali T720mp2 graphics version A and B but the Moto uses adreno 308. Any opininions on this? guess I would be bad to ignore the Moto all despte the 18.9 display? * +

Alcatel A3 XL and V3 both use mediatek 8735 quad core processors and same graphics while the Moto uses the snapdragon 425 octa cpu in the UK with adreno 308. The Moto has 3GB ram over the Alcatels 2GB and larger 32GB storage over the Alcatels 16GB plus a 5000mah battery compared to a 3000mah in the Alcatel phones (sorry about any tying errors 'guess I would be mad to ignore the Moto') * +

Mind you my S9 plus has a 18.9 ratio display! But I still prefer 16.9. I will be mostly using the cheap smartphone for Youtube and according to a tech magazine I read it claimed Youtube videos are aimed at 16.9 ratio and not 18.9 which seems obvious. I would appreciate any advice though. the only snag with the A3 XL is that is does struggle on some higher res videos cos ive had one before, and the V3 uses the same graphics and cpu. Iam guessing that wont be so much of an issue on the Moto? * +

Amazingly the V3 has a 2K display yet barely has anymore horsepower than the A3 XL which only runs a 720p display. The Moto is also 720p. that says the V3 is way undepowered considering how many pixels its trying to push out am I correct? * +

PS: I meant the A3 XL struggels with more demanding Youtube videos motion is not always fluid * +

They all sound a bit crap to me. Especially if you have an s9. What are you going to be using these phones at work for? To care about aspect ratio and graphic chips? Any old sh*t will be fine for YouTube. Stick with your s9 and save up for the note 10 * +

Any old s**t will be fine for Youtube thats what I thought crail! but obviously not cos the A3 XL struggles with more demanding videos. I dislike taking expensive phones to work cos of the nature of my job * +

PS: I meant to say the V3 has a 2.5k display not 2k. but all these things aside does anybody know any websites that show display brightness figures? *
